1. Sign in to your artist account or sign up for a new account.
   
2. Click on the "Mp3s" link in your artist backstage.
   
3. Then click on the "Upload Your Songs" button.
   

Your songs must be in Mp3 (.mp3) format.

Recommended: 44100 HZ sample rate & 128 bit-rate (this is CD quality sampling).

Supported Rates:
Sample Rates - 11025 Hz, 22050 Hz, 44100 Hz.
Bitrates - 8, 16, 20, 24, 32, 48, 56, 64, 80, 112, 128, 160, 192.

Yes. Once you sign in to your artist account click on the Mp3s link and un-check the download option on your Mp3(s).
This will make them available for streaming only through our iSOUND Player.
Listeners will not be able to download the Mp3s to their computer.

Yes. You ALWAYS keep all the rights to your music.
Our agreement simply states that you give us permission to broadcast your music via iSOUND.COM.
Our agreement is non-exclusive and may be terminated at anytime.

We don't offer ringtones for free download.

The money goes to the carriers (i.e. Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint etc..). We receive payment 120 days after each sale and will pay our artists after the close of each month period once you have reached $10 in sales.

The 1st 30 seconds.

Basically the carriers (i.e. Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint etc..) have a monopoloy on the market and that's how long they have decided to take to submit payment.

The ringtones are great sounding RealTones (aka TrueTones, Mp3Tones). No polyphonic and no Monophonic. We encode the ringtone into the format accepted by the specific phone (mp3, amr, qcelp, wav).

The only carriers that work right now are U.S. based. You may sell your ringtones from any country but they will only be available for purchase in the United States. U.K., Canada and other international carriers are being worked on and may be added in the near future.

We browsers cache (save files to your computer for faster browsing) photos and other content.
The photo file has been changed but the old one may still show on your local machine until you do a refresh.

Basic artist accounts may upload up to 5 photos, Loud Artists™ may upload up to 100.

You may upload any size photo as long as it doesn't exceed 2MB.
The photos will be resized to a maximum width of 390px and height of 500px.
Your main artist site photo is resized to a width of 230px and height of 370px.

HTML is allowed in bios for Loud Artists™.
The following tags are allowed: <a> = Links
<img> = Images
<br> = Line breaks
<form> = Forms (Use for your mailing list etc...)
<input> = Input for forms
<font> = Font color and size
<b> = Bold
<i> = Italics

We don't offer HTML support.
We suggest searching google for "HTML Tutorials" to learn some basic tags to add to your site.

There is no way to give an exact date for the transfer.
We receive bulk transfers from CD Baby a few times each week.
It may be up to a couple months until they have sent over your album data.

We pay CD Baby each month for all the albums that are sold.
Please visit your CD Baby account to see when your payment will be sent.

Login to your artist account.
Then go to the listener profile or artist page who you want to add as a friend/fan and click on the "Add to friends" link.
Once they accept your friend request it will add them as a friend/fan and link their page to your artist site.
This will not only get them to check out your music but will also encourage their friends to check out your site.

In the near future we will be adding this feature to all Loud Artists™ accounts.

You must be a Loud Artist™ or use our Download Sales service to create albums.

You may link to other album sales sites if you are a Loud Artist™.
Loud Artists™ should login to your accounts.
Then go to the "albums" section, then click on the "Link to sell CD" button.
There are many sites out there that allow you to sell your CDs.
We recommend using CD Baby.

Login to your artist account.
Click on the "Account Admin" section.
Click on the "Sign up a New Band" button.

Artists featured on the iSOUND homepage are a combination of artists from our label partners and staff picks.
You may also get featured for free by logging into your artist account and clicking on the "Main Feature" link in the Promo Tools section and following the instructions there.

   Note: This is to confirm that the request is actually coming from the account owner.
   

Our Sound Choice section is based on music and artist site quality.
Our Loud Artists™ get priority in selection for our Sound Choice section.
Selecting from our Loud Artists™ 1st helps us to pick artists who are serious about getting their music heard.

The top 100 signed and unsigned artists are based on the number of visitors each artist received on the previous day.
The more unique visitors that each artist receives, the higher the rank in the countdown.
Both countdowns are updated each day and reflect visits of the previous day only.

Song ratings are a combination of listener ratings and our editors ratings.

Your song must be rated by our editors 1st or several unique listeners before a rating will show up.
This is to prevent ratings from being skewed by "vote stacking."

Login to your artist account and click on the "Artist Info" section.
Then click on the [Change Name] option listed next to your artist name.
Follow the instructions from there.
