Music from a parallel universe shooting from our speakers to your ears.
Hot and fresh out of the Midwest bakery is Glitter Assassin, a big indie rock cupcake with lots of shoegaze sprinkles. Glitter Assassin is influenced by the cinematic textures of My Bloody Valentine, M83, Interpol, Slowdive and the straight ahead rock vibe of Placebo. Lyrically they exist on the fine line between retrospect, dreams and optimism of the future.
Glitter Assassin is currently working on a full album scheduled to be released on March 22nd 2011 tentatively titled “Small Hours Cinematic”. As a promotional item before the official album release an EP was released and distributed by hand at select events titled “Display Threshold”.
Currently two singles from Small Hours Cinematic are available for download at http://glitterassassin.bandcamp.com/ or in iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/glitter-assassin/id382209463
