Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, known to the world as Ginuwine, was born to James and Sandra Lumpkin on October 15, 1975 in Washington DC. Elgin began showing his musical talent at the age of 12 with the musical influence coming from his idol Micheal Jackson. While working on his music career Elgin Also attended and graduated from Prince Georges Community College were he studied and recieved a Paralegal Degree. After graduating, this intelegent fine looking young man met the rookie producer, at the time, Timberland in New York. The two recorded Ginuwine's first immediatly successful album "The Bachler" with the sexy R&B million dollar hit "Pony" reaching the number one spot on the billboard R&B chart.
