Biography Fresh out of college, Garr moved to New York where his off-off Broadway plays ('18K’s' and 'Turbo') landed him representation from the William Morris Agency (NY) as a playwright. At the same time, Garr signed with a management company based in L.A for his music. He eventually moved to Boston where he felt the music and theatre scene was more vibrant. He was right as both talents immediately gained the attention of the Boston entertainment industry. Garr attracted some of Boston’s finest musicians and formed ‘Garr Lange & The Big Rig’, a groundbreaking ‘country’ influenced rock band. Garr and ‘The Big Rig’ stormed the Boston stages where Garr won the ASCAP/Boston Music Foundation’s award for ‘Best Song’ and along with his band garnered numerous Boston Music Award nominations including Male Vocalist of the Year and Best Act.
