Freddie Mercury was born on September 5th 1946 in Zanzibar but shortly(in 1947)he moved to India.He attended boarding school just outside Bombay,and whilst at school he took up piano lessons and achieved grade 4 in practical and theory.In 1964-Freddie and family left for england.In the same year he left Isleworth school in 1964 with three "O" levels and one "A" level in Art. He went to Ealing College of Art.He soon after became intersted in music,he joined his first serious band in 1969 called IBEX.He Then he became part of the new rock/metal band,Queen in 1971.They had many number one hits which included 3 greatest hits albums.In november 1991-Freddie announced to the public that he was suffering with AIDS.Sadly,on november 24th 1991-freddie mercury died at his home in london-aged just 45.His name will be permanently marked on the music world forever.
