FISHKILL is a three-piece band that plays hard rock with an alternative style, featuring energetic songs that are fun to listen to and may make you think if you listen carefully. It's heavy guitar-based rock, although it has been classified as punk and 80's new wave rock. Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Chris Nelson's vocal style has been compared to Joey Ramone (The Ramones), Mike Love (The Beach Boys), and Ray Davies (The Kinks). His guitar work is inspired by The Who's Pete Townshend and Paul Weller of the Jam. Drummer Mike Williams is one part Keith Moon and one part Ringo Starr, keeping everyone's attention focused on the beat while adding an element of unpredictability. Bassist Jack Hawk has his own unique style of playing to complement the guitar work by weaving complex basslines through the guitar notes like a tapestry of sound.
