James Allen Hammond professionally known as Face Money was born in Augusta Georgia, on June 29, 1981. At the age of eight he moved to Philadelphia, PA. Philadelphia is where he began his passion for music. Face realized he had a gift to express himself through words like the late Biggie Smalls, 2 Pac, and Big L. Face began to hone his craft by listening to the works and creativity of artists like Wu-tang Clan, Slick Rick, Cool G. Rap, Jay Z, and Three Times Dope. Face then mastered a sound and style of his own. By 2004 Face Money had become a member of the critically acclaimed rap group “Ice City” The Group consist of Face Money, Philadelphia Freeway, Hydro and Bars. The Group created a local buzz that landed them a one-album deal on an independent label called Sure Shot Records The group put out the Album titled: Welcome to the Hood” which was Distributed nationally.
