Eddie Star's prolific past catches up with the present as he continues to claim his place in rock'n'roll infamy. With the release of spring's Informal Deviance, the stunning debut from his new band Joybox, as well as the reissue of his first solo album, Star proves his effusive, electric, "shock me" riffs and lyrical candor still provoke and inspire.
Star began his musical career at age 17 when he signed with producer Arthur G. Wright's (Chuck Berry, The Jackson 5, The Pips) NSP Records, Inc. His self-titled debut was a raunchy blend of rock'n'roll and punk in the tradition of such bands as The Sex Pistols, Joan Jett and Lou Reed, all of whom first influenced the London, Ontario, native to pick up a guitar.
