Diskreetse Mango Trio is a band that performs folk music, mainly runo-songs, in the key of rock. Despite of their name (Trio) they actually have altogether nine members. This crowded band from Tallinn, Estonia have been active since 2003. They have been aiming to blend modern culture (the different forms of pop and rock music) into folk music and vice versa. The music press and the audience have mainly described the music made by Diskreetse Mango Trio as fresh, energetic, joyful and very catchy. On November 27, 2006 Diskreetse Mango Trio released their debut-album “Prigadi-Pragadi” under the biggest Estonian record label, hyper.records. The album got very positive reviews by the Estonian music press. “Prigadi-pragadi” is currently nominated for the Estonian Music Award (Estonian Grammy) in the category of the Best Folk/Ethno Album.
