Devanic was formed in May 2004 by Niki and Andy, with the goal playing ambitious, catchy, multifarious and blasting Melodic Deathmetal. Niki was searching for some people to realise his compositions, especially for someone to do the vocals – with Andy the right man was found. The songwriting of Niki and the lyrics and vocal-arrangement of Andy seemed to be the perfect combination. So the nameless project started to get a form. After some songs were completed, it was time to search a band. Only a month later the band was complete with Christian, Mike and Peter. All members have earned experience in other bands before: Moriturus, Septicemia, Subtil, Spirit Within, Corona Endorser, Flex Tracked … It didn't take long to get capable of playing together and so the band started recording the Promo 2004 “Mask Installed”.
