David L. Cook Mortermer Crabbottom David began his musical career at the age of five with his family, The Cook Family Singers. David's parents divorced in 1980 which brought an end to the musical group. David continued singing both gospel and secular music. His first solo Christian album, Come Follow Me, was released in 1985. The following year, he signed with the American Musical Academy of Arts Associations AMAAA and recorded a follow up album, Personal Feelings, which made the charts for Inspirational Music. In 1997 his release In the Middle of it All was the #1 Christian Country selling album and had six number one hit songs according to charts compillied by Country Gospel Music charts. In 1999 David earned a Dove GMA nomination for Christian Country Album of the Year. In 1999 he started his own record label simply called DLC Records.
