A Louisiana native, Dane first found a love for music at family parties, dancing to everything from blues to pop in the early 80’s. Growing Up in the small town of Ferriday, he watched as his uncles rehearsed and play countless songs. Deciding this was something he wanted to get into; he tried learning to play the piano. Nevertheless, with him being impatient and just wanting to have fun, Dane decided not to pursue that any further. Later after being exposed to UGK, 8Ball & MJG, Luke and hearing Master P’s I’m Bout It! He decided he wanted to be a rapper. He started a group with 3 other friends only to do one song and perform for his middle school, that dream died before it could even start. Motivated to be a good rapper he continued writing and practicing. Next he got a chance to shine at a high school talent show only to be discouraged by the sound quality and the final outcome, he decided to step away again.
