Damien Olsen (born May 20. 1961) Is an Experimental Musician, Improvisor, Sound Designer, Performer, Photographer, Digital Artist, Sculptor. Lived in Brazil during the 80s and 90s. Trained in Zen, Capueira and Graham technique of contemporary dance. Damien Olsen produced wood and cardboard sculptures between 1987 and 2005. He was disciple of the Finnish/American Composer and guitar player Raoul Bjorkenheim. Since moved to NYC in 1999 Damien Olsen self produced more than 13 albums of Hybrid Ambient Music. Some of this albums are still in process of editing and mastering while others were already commercially released. Some of his compositions are merely sound explorations, collages made out from field recordings, software processed acoustic piano, deconstructions of other pieces and remixes; while other pieces are more musically accomplished.
