Donnie “D.A.” Ambrocio was born in a rural province of Bataan, Philippines. There, he cultivated a love of music and the celebration of it through local town fiestas and talent shows. This played a vital role in how he creates music today. His family moved to Korea for a year before finally settling down in Columbia, South Carolina. The south exposed him to a wide variety of music which influenced his song writing. From Guns n’ Roses and Metallica to 2pac, he developed a unique sound that defines Effennel Records and its members. He started playing guitar at 16, wrote his first song, and the rest is history. He had a five year stint in the military but never stopped writing. His songs reflected life experiences and his early recordings fed the hunger for creativity and experimentation with sound.
