joe DOE (the artist formerly known as D-O-E) is the creator of a genre called sykophunk, which he describes as “underground hip hop influenced by metal, gothic and electronica, bitch-slapped with humor and sarcasm, and then power-bombed into an ocean of social and spiritual consciousness.” Music that disregards cliché boundaries, connecting different paths of life on a mission for the rEvolution Underground.

Claims to fame include:

* Song placement on an episode of The Colbert Report.
* Getting on mixtapes alongside such established artists as Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Drake, Young Jeezy, Joell Ortiz & members of The Wu-Tang Clan.
* Recording two full-length albums every year since 2003; recording 102 songs in 2009 alone!
* Playing live shows on both east & west coasts plus the Midwest.
* Collaborating with underground artists from both sides of the Atlantic.
* Composing the score for an upcoming indie film.
