Current / Robert Solheim. Robert Solheim, a self-taught musician, composer and dreamer since forever. Born on a small island on the west coast of Norway, he grew up between the sea, the mountains and the music; His mother playing guitar and singing and his father playing the accordion. Not quite sure what instrument to play he started out learning the organ, then played drums in a band for a while and eventually moved into the world of electronics and started to paint his own musical landscapes. Since then he has released 5 critically acclaimed albums, the first 3 on the famous Norwegian label Origo Sound and the last ones on his own label CurrentMusik. “Ghost Trip” from the album “Communion” was voted the 7 of 100 best Electronic Music tracks in the magazine E-dition together with other artists like Kraftwerk, New Order, David Sylvian, Biosphere and Ugress, and it became editors pick when it came out in 2003.
