In 1994 he went to Sweden to record some music and there he continued his career of gifted musician and composer. JuanCarlos has played at several Jazz Festival all over Europe and also in Cuba along with other musicians such as Ulf Adoker, Ulf Andersson, Calixto Oviedo and others. He has arranged, composed and recorded a few cds both classic music and latin jazz. In 1997 he has created a group in Stockholm named "Cuba ritmo jazz"/CubajazzJuanquy playing a blend of jazz, cuban-latin rythms, contemporary music and traditional cuban music, in which we can admire the brilliant and spontaneous improvisation.
