Cream: July 1966 - November 1968 Cream consisted of three amazingly talented musicians: Eric Clapton (guitar) Jack Bruce (bass) and Ginger Baker (drums). Clapton, 21 at the time, Bruce, 23 at the time, and Baker, the oldest at 26, had their first gig on July 23, 1966 at the Windsor Jazz & Blues Festival. In October of 1966, they released their first single, “Wrapping Paper”. Cream then came out with their debut album, "Fresh Cream", released on Reaction Records, in December of 1966. The album contained great songs such as "NSU" and "Sweet Wine". They then released their second single, "I Feel Free" which put them at number 11 on the charts. During the first part of 1967, Cream performed gigs around Britain and Europe then settled their sights on America.
