Love Michelle Harrison, or Courtney Love, was born July 9, 1964 in San Francisco, California. Courtney Love began her career as a professional musician with a short-term gig as the lead singer of 'Faith No More' in the early 80's. Courtney co- founded a 'riot grrl' band in her 'hometown', Minneapolis, Minnestota. The band was named 'Babes in Toyland', she co- found it with Kat Bjelland. Kat and Courtney fought badly, so Courtney was fired. In 1991 Courtney started her own band called 'Hole'. Their first album got little attention from the press, but luckily Hole got recognized a lot more when Courtney married guitarist and lead singer from 'Nirvana', She also got a lot of publicity after his death, just not neccesarily always that good. Courtney was also a model. Earlier in her career, she modeled the 'kinderwhore' fashion, which she was said to have taken from Kat or the other-way-around.
