DusJohn Williams was born November 8th in Passaic, New Jersey. He and his mother moved to Detroit when he was four years old and has been a resident ever since. DusJohn, pronounced Du-Shawn, graduated from Northwestern High School. He grew up in the area of McGraw and 23rd Street where he currently ministers as Assistant Pastor of Temple Immanuel Church. DusJohn has a great sensitivity for people, especially for the youth. His desire is to make a positive and influential impact on their lives through musical ministry. He has worked as a Youth Service Worker at Calumet Detention Center dealing with young men who are incarcerated as juveniles. He no longer works there but he still goes there as well as other Juvenile Facilities to minister and share his talents of Gospel Rap.
