Cate Evens (pronounce Evens as in Evans) is an artist who knows what she wants. You get a pretty good impression of that on her current ep „Angel on the Edge“. The singer, originally from Brilon, composed the songs for the five-tracker in cooperation with her guitar player Torsten Wolffson. Special attention should be paid to the up-tempo-song „Sweeping the Scene“ that makes you inevitably bang your head and the ballad „Pardon me“ (recorded live at a german tv-show) that shows Cate´s wonderful and strong voice. The 25-year-old started her musical career by moving to Hamburg in 1999 to study at the renowned „Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama“. Three years later she finished Stage School as a professional musical performer, had some minor engagements in musicals, before finding her passion for rockmusic that led her to sing in several bands.
