The Camerouns use intuition and sensibility as a tool to develop their sound. The Camerouns´ music is about sharing positive aspects of their consciousness and aesthetic appreciation, expressing values of life that make them who they are. Influenced by Brazilian Popular Music (Música Popular Brasileira ou MPB), The Camerouns started playing mainly bossa nova as well as other Brazilian rhythms. As accomplished and experienced musicians, they studied and emulated the sounds of Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Djavan and other great Brazilian musicians, perfecting their own style and sound. Born in the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia, The Camerouns seemed to be obsessed with music from the beginning. Motivated by the purchase of their first instruments, within a year everyone noticed the result of such constant dedication.
