On September 7 1936, in Lubbock Texas, was born one of the most important Rock and Roll legends . His parents , Mrs. Ella and Mr. Lawrence Holly, called their fourth children, Charles Hardin; although they nicknamed him Buddy Holly. Holly's parents always encouraged him and his brothers love for music. At the tender age of five, Buddy won the frist five dollars prize, singing "Down the river of memories". Later he took a few months of piano lessons and then a brother taugh him some guitar lessons. He learned some chords and then he developed a new style of playing the guitar. later, when he was studying at Hutchinson High, he formed a group with his friend Bob Montgomery. then, the bass player Larry Welborn. They played at high school parties, gasoline station openings, ann in Lubbock Radio Station. By 1956, Buddy Holly recorded two singles on Decca, without success.
