Born in Dallas, Texas and raised just a block away from the local concert arena in Norman, Oklahoma, Brandon Hart spent many nights of his childhood watching and learning from the big shows. If he couldn't get a ticket, just hearing George Strait, KISS, or Journey through the backstage door was more than enough. The energy of the concerts sparked an undying desire to create his own music. While attending Norman High, and then The University of Oklahoma, Brandon began to consider songwriting and performing as a career. After playing local writer's nights and open mic's, he decided to make the move to Nashville. While waiting tables and selling boots in downtown Music City, Brandon struggled for five years before getting his first break. In May 2000, Pat Higdon, Kent Earls and Shawn Heflin signed Brandon to his first publishing deal at Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville.
