SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: The five got together when they were in highschool, and seem to have made a genre of their avant-garde hardcore opera. Dueling lead-vocalists, Jordan Billie (sexy falsetto), and Johnny Whitney "front" the band, playing alongside bassist Morgan Henderson, guitarist Cody Votolato, and drummer Mark Gajadhar. Since their 2001 compilation, "Rumors Laid Waste", they've released 3 full-length albums: the first off Second Nature, "This Adultery is Ripe", and the following two, "March on Electric Children" and "Burn Piano Island, Burn!" off ThreeOneG/ARTISTdirect. The music is discordant, experimental and incredibly electric, with both Jordan and Johnny spewing forth original, energetic lyrics creating the images of a story to each song.
