I have adopted the band name blaxcot, which I like because it says who I am. Black Scot, or Afro-Scot. My father was afro-American my mother was Scottish. I was born and raised in Scotland, I lived in Italy for eight, Los Angeles for 13 and now in New York. Blaxcot is a musical project where I am using a blend of the two art forms of 1) electronica and 2) the more traditional techniques of composition and arrangement to create a fresh new sound for older classic and not so classic songs.
