Blatherskite was founded in 1996 when Brendan and Tim discovered that they were wired into the same vein of madness. Having come from the circus/punk idiocy of "The Cheese", the first effort at noise which splintered apart when Tim was declared "just too fucking obscure" to follow the three chord riffs that were being produced. So when the rest of the band quit (a polite way of kicking Tim out), Tim and Brendan formed a new entity, forged on bonds of friendship and the desire to tear the throats out of other beings and dance in their blood… A bassist (Tom Waters) was found, and Blatherskite version 1 was installed. Many all ages gigs and room clearing experiences later, the addition of the vocalist/percussionist Nick Goryl in 1999 changed the direction of Blatherskite forever.
