Born in Atlanta, GA Biggg Shady by the age of 8 was already singing with his older brother's band. By age 12 he started singing in the Doowap groups, to the likes of the Temptations, Delfonics, Chi-Lites and that is where the tight harmonies came from. Later Grady would stop all together because of his voice change. Shady started out singing tenor, by age 15 the tenor had changed to a deep baritone. He then went solo and started singing in the various talent shows, to the likes of Barry White, Al Green, and Teddy Pendergrass. After high school, Shady attended the Art Institute of Atlanta to pursue a dream of being a graphic artist. He did well but the music came calling once again. By now the voice was a silky mixture of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Barry White, and a little Teddy P. at times.
