B.C. Ragtime used to be called ELF. ELF was initially started as a thrash/punk conspiracy. The original brainchild was concieved by Ryan and Nick back in 1999. We figured it would be interesting to have a grab bag at shows, fans would stick thier arm into a barrel of kitty liter for $5 and pull out a piece of merchandise. Who knows, maybe they could get something really cool like a slightly used t-shirt, warped seven-inch, maybe even a handful of cat shit. Sounds innocent enough, but what about the band? After many talks, and years of a forgotten dream, ELF grouped in the summer of 2003. The original line-up was Ryan on vocals, Nick and Tim playing guitar, Dru on keyboard, and Turbin on drums. After a lot of alcohol consumption Tim eventually left the group and Dru steped up into the ranks of ELF guitarists.
