There are so many flashback bands today that sound exactly like something we were listening to 20-30 years ago. This is one band that is showing what the future of music holds. Blending the sounds of theater, classical, rock and some good old-fashioned pop, The Battery Kids have created a sound of their own. The band is fronted by singer/guitarist Shannon, who provides an operatic vocal style accompanied by thick distorted power chords and some haunting lead guitar. Having a keyboardist in the band, Bowl, the music is rich with harmony and classically styled arpeggios. He uses a palette of different sounds painting each song a new picture and emotion. Tom, on bass, not only provides the low frequencies of the mix but his melodic bass lines vary from Metal to Classical to Jazz to Blues and even Reggae.
