Barry Lawton is a singer songwriter hailing from the sprawling metropolis that is Crewe, South Cheshire, England,UK. He has released two independently financed albums entitled 'Enough To go Around'(2001)and 'Brown lipstick'(2003. 'Enough' was recorded between December 2000-March 2001.Largely recorded with an acoustic feel, the album includes early Lawton standards such as the moving 'Grow together'the classic pop of 'Prettiest face' and the uplifting 'beautiful'the album was recorded with a nucleus of three players,consisting of Chris Gaskill on keyboards,Barry Lawton guitar/vocals and Norman Barratt handling just about everything else including production and mastering duties. 'brown lipstick' was an altogether different bag of fish.though retaining the same players,the album had a more rounded and fuller sound, from the bluesy feel of 'the night she bit the bullet, the near perfect balladry of 'swings and roundabouts'culminating with just piano and vocal of 'from here to the past'...
