They are perhaps the band most influenced by the Misfits. And no, I'm not talking about AFI. Balzac started somewhere around the early 90's in Japan. The band consists of Hirosuke (vocals), Atsushi (guitar), Akio (bass), and Takiyuki (drums). Balzac has a unique lighter punk sound with horror images and lyrics, very similiar to the Misfits. Not only that, Balzac recorded a split cd with the Misfits, covering "dont Open till Doomsday", and "The Haunting". The Misfits covered Balzac's most famous song, "The Day the Earth Caught Fire". Perhaps Balzac's biggest accomplishment was performing at Fiendfest.
