Kris Roe, a man with a talent for song writing, playing guitar, and much much more. Kris Roe one day went to a Vandals concert with a demo tape he had made. He met Joe Escalante there, the founder of the Vandals. Kris gave Escalante the demo, and Escalante was very surprised. He had loved the demo, and he asked Kris to create a band and sign with the Kung-fu Records Label. Kris Roe went to California trying to get a band together. The first addition was guitarist Jasin Thomason. They were soon able to find a bass player by the name Marko 72. Still in search of a drummer, Kris, Jasin, and Marko gave the demo to Kung-fu Records to have them find a drummer. The drummer that accepted the offer after hearing the demo was Derrick Plourdre. So the band got together and everything was like this, Kris Roe (Guitar/Vocals), Jasin Thomason (Guitar/back-up vocals), Marko 72 (Bass), and Derrick Plourdre (Drums). They all thought long and hard on their name and somehow came up with THE ATARIS...
