Ash Koley and her unique brand of quirky pop music have burst onto the Winnipeg scene like a supernova to become one of the brightest lights the industry has seen in ages. "I listened to and compared myself to the best singers growing up - like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. I would play their songs over and over, trying to sing like them, and would always get so upset to the point of tears that I couldn't do it....but I should have realized that not a lot of other ten year olds could sing like that anyway!" Ash started working with musicians all over Winnipeg and began performing as often as she could. But it was a hook-up with award-winning songwriter and producer Phil Deschambault that really got the ball rolling.
