Very briefly I think we were the only popular Punk Band on the scene when it all began that didn't sell out to a big record company. We were offered deals by several majors but I didn't want to go down that road. I saw what it did to Blondie's music. Although their album went platinum I thought and still do, that it sucked commercial, trivial trash. We played Max's Kansas City every weekend and on other special occasions more, from Ocober 78 to February 79, when I split to England. We packed the joint every time. It was fantastic. We were hailed and feared by all the big Bands on the NYC scene at the time., and loved by the fans. The Troggs, B52's, The Cramps and numerous others were among the Bands that played support act for us.. We Started a four day celebration with the Troggs playing every night.
