It all started on a normal day in May, 2005. Sanchay, Taufiq, Zubair and Erfan (temporary bass player) were given an opportunity to play at their school's Barbeque Night. They had three days to get a vocalist and so their friend Tahmid decided to play for just one show. That show was a great success and so they decided to make themselves into a proper band. Thus Amps was born three days after the show (name given by Tahmid). During summer '05, Erfan decided to leave the band and so they were joined by Moin. They performed a few shows with this line-up and finally Sakib joined within a few months. Amps mainly plays Alternative Metal songs but sometimes deviates to play heavy metal and progressive rock as well. They have five bangla and seven english songs.
