Alyssa was born in Harlem in New York City. She was then taken north to Westchester County to what was then a very wooded area. Alyssa feels a passion today for both the energy and inspiation of the woods and of the city. This album was written during a some hard times in her life and she has since come to understand the power of positivity in thought and in speech. "I had to turn it all off, the tv, the radio, the newspapers, so all the negativity could not get in. I want to create awareness but not to bring people down but to say, hey, I know whats going on, but there is also a-lot of good going on so lets focus on that and give that our energy and love, thats what this next album will include." Alyssa wants to thank all her listeners and fans for hearing and feeling her in her music.
