Alex Arndt grew up in the DC area and flew the coup for the California music scene, shortly after college. Before that, Alex participated in a variety of creative endeavors, including singing, acting, and songwriting. A self-taught guitar player, in college he started a band, Drive, with other friends at Virginia Tech. Alex shared the lead singer and lead and backup guitar positions. Drive played at local college venues as well as out of town venues. The band recorded five tracks on a Sept, 2001 E.P. and later recorded eight more tracks for a June, 2002 album. Four of these tracks were later put on an E.P. called Hotstash, What's Inside? After moving to San Diego, Alex worked with a number of artists in different collaborative endeavors.
