Alamance is a very remarkable young band. They are in the process of finishing their third release, titled Moving On, which is due out early this fall. The first single off their new EP, “Waiting On You,” is being released in early July. They’ve been playing tour dates all over the country, and are gearing up for their second run on Vans Warped Tour. Not too bad for a band who is barely of driving age. Josh Sorhagen (lead vocals and guitar) started playing guitar at the age of 9. He went to the same school as Erick Woltz (guitar and backing vocals), who started taking lessons from Sorhagen’s guitar instructor. They started playing together in 2001, and have had numerous lineup changes since then. However, they eventually found the missing piece when they asked Mike Lisa (drums and backing vocals) to join the band in October 2006. Alamance’s first album,was released and recorded in early 2005.
