Formed in 2001, Agathy is a three piece rock n’ roll band from southeast Kansas. 100 miles away from any music scene, members Chance, Chris, and Dustin spent the bulk of their first three years together writing songs and rehearsing in a spare bedroom at Chance’s house. In August 2004 Agathy proved the songs they were writing were top notch when they scored a top 200 hit on garageband.com’s independent music charts with the basement recording of their song “Runnin’ Along.” In the week of November 22, 2004 the band received “The Best Elevator Song in Rock” award from garageband.com for their song “Never” off their 2004 demo. Agathy continued to write songs and by 2005 they had already written over fifty original songs. 2005 was a big year for the band as they spent four months working with a national booking agency which helped them get their music out all across the Midwest.
