Afenginn biography Afenginn was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2002 by five musicians with very different musical backgrounds. With their different angles of music, the result is an original and virtuoso music that grows out of the roots of world and folk music. They soon realized that reality and conformity not was their cup of tea and saddled the horse of joy and madness (which they have been riding ever since). With high tempo, great joy and border seeking musical ideas the taking of Denmark was founded with the music to the film "Elgen kommer" (The moose are coming!) and later on with the release of the debutalbum "Retrograd". In addition to many positive reviews, Retrograd also received a Danish Music Award for "Best World Album" in 2005. The debutalbum has so far been honoured with critics as: "They are shockingly good, with imagination and technique that won't quit. If there's justice, they'll be huge."
