Once upon a time, a lonely girl met a bass player from Craigslist. After seedy, late-night meetings in a downtown art gallery, a band was born. Upon obtaining more members from the street, and drinking nights away at the local Goth bar, the name, “Adam’s Evil,” was strewn on a napkin. Many men came and went, and the girl carried on, searching for “The Ones.” In late 2009, the final four went into the wilderness to record its debut album, “Play Me,” a crazy mash-up of highs and lows, now available on Itunes, CDBaby, Amazon and at their live shows. Adam’s Evil could be called many things— post-punk revival, alternative grunge, rock and pop (which we will never admit.) The raspy vocals of Sarah Deathriage which have been compared to Kate Piersen and Siouxsie Sioux, will definitely keep Adam’s Evil a stand-out from the local Phoenix rock scene.
