Absent Society is a five-piece metal band out of Oakland, California. Formed by vocalist Jason, along with Guitar players Justin and Matt, and drummer Mike in 2003. Absent Society's fan base has continued to grow ever since, with their unique sound and approach to metal reaching new listeners everyday. The first Absent Society demo, released in June 2004, received enthusiastic reviews and also received airplay on local Bay Area radio stations. The CD was recorded at The Plant Studios (studio A) in Sausalito, CA with Engineer Justin Phelps. Absent Society is now promoting their latest demo EP, "The Plastic Parade" (released June 3, 2005). Independently produced and funded by Absent Society, the band met up with Justin Phelps, this time at Hyde St. Studios (Studio C) in San Francisco.
