Tommy Walter (pseudonym \\\\\\\"Abandoned Pools\\\\\\\") is an American singer and songwriter. Born on October 30 1970, Walter took an interest in music at a very early age. He first began playing the bass guitar and then took up the French horn. While attending the Pacific University, he began teaching classical music theory. It was at this point that he began working with the singer known simply as E and Butch Norton, a drummer. Their band (known as \\\\\\\"Eels\\\\\\\"). They released a promising debut, although Walter left the band after differences with E. He released his first solo album in 2001. The album, titled \\\\\\\"Humanistic\\\\\\\", was released under the name of \\\\\\\"Abandoned Pools\\\\\\\", although Walter was the only contributing artist to the album. Although originally a solo project, Abandoned Pools became a touring band (in much the same style as Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame). Walter quickly recruited Leah ... |
