| From Grand Blanc, MI, I have been playing guitar since the age of 14. Very early in my musical journey I began to record covers of bands that I was into at the time. This gave me a chance to learn a lot about how to play different instruments and more importantly how to put it on tape. I started recording in my fathers basement with his old Tascam 388 reel-to-reel recorder. As college approached I found myself playing more and more music that I have never heard before. It was my own! I started by writing it all down and I was contempt. However, as time progressed I found my self making more trips to my fathers house (mostly to "borrow" equipment and to record my new ideas.) Although I have performed live with a handful of bands and by myself, I find my qualities are better displayed when I can play them back through a recording that usually took more time to produce than the sound quality would prove. Now I am struggling to move my fingers around the fretboard again (thanks, again, to my father) and get back into the swing of the scene. Take a listen and check back regularly for new sounds! Oh, and don't forget to check out LarryPlessMusic.com to discover the tunes my dad has cranked out! |
