A Week Away started with just an acoustic guitar in Rocklin, CA. Singer/songwriter Joe Gillette compiled a heavy list of material on his own, but had ideas of a bigger sound. He enlisted the help of his brother Nick, and friends, Kale Elledge, and Kyle McClure. The group was complete and A Week Away started to play local shows and coffee houses to get their music out there. In July 2004 AWA recorded a full length album, "My Last Goodbye." It is currently available through their website. Currently the members of AWA are in school and planning future shows.
