A Shameful Display is a one piece acoustic act out of Gainesville, FL. It has been hard for critics to establish a genre of music that would best categorize this surprisingly energetic artist. A Shameful Display appeals to listeners in the punk rock, pop, indie, emo, folk, and hardcore/post hardcore genres. All hype aside, 21-year-old Brian Ware is the one person behind the stage name. Growing up in a heavily influenced punk rock atmosphere, Brian places all of his concentration on breaking free from standard acoustic artists, and places his main focus on entertaining a live crowd. A Shameful Display tours mostly with punk rock style bands, as to offer a nice contrast in a live set, yet not straying away from the style of music the punk rock fans expect to hear. He has also been known to play some all acoustic shows, and tries to increase the energy in the room by playing louder, standing, and basically just rocking out with his fans.
