2ThumbzUp was born on October 11th 1985 in St. Louis, Missouri. Raised on the 4400 block of Newstead while being the only child of his single mother, the young star had to grow up faster than the average kid. Instead of studying after high school, Thumbz was forced to hustle to help his hard working mother pay the rent. So determined to escape the harsh realities of the inner city, his love for music grew at an early age as he participated in many public school talent shows and competitions. As a result to winning he was instantly crowned with the nickname “2ThumbsUp.” At the age of sixteen, he had already begun recording his first project with an independent production company. The young MC has been writing, recording and performing since the age of thirteen. While putting in years of hard work, 2ThumbzUp has collaborated with a few well known artists and producers as well.
