1 Method is a five piece Christian Heavy Metal band from Monroe, LA. The band has been around since 2001. The band was startd by Mitch Laing. The oringinal line-up was Mitch Laing on Guitar and lead vocals, Zach Hall on lead guitar, Jake Phillips on drums, and Travis Smith on bass and backing vocals. The band developed a following in the Christian rock scene and soon released an album with Humility Records in 2002. Humility soon went bankrupt in early 2003. After the fall of Humility, Travis Smith left the band to support a family. He was soon followed by Zach Hall, who left to go to school full time. The next member to leave was Jake Phillips. Jake left the band to start other ministries. Founding member Mitch Laing was left to reform the band. August of 2003 saw a new 1 Method. With Mitch retaining vocal and guitar duties, Heath Gorman on drums, Jeremy Harrington on bass, and Stephen Weeks on guitar, the new line up was complete. The band re-defined their sound into heavy...
