We formed 12 Step Rebels in the spring of 2000. When the three original members of the band got together, we never set out to create any one style of music......all of our musical influences just naturally led us in the direction of playing some good time graveyard rockin' Psychobilly. We recorded our first EP in the fall of 2000. Two tracks from that effort were to be used for a compilation CD on an independent label that died a quick death. Then in early 2002 we spoke with friends GRAVEYARD SHIFT from Seattle, Washington about doing an album together. The split release, "Mutilated Melodies", was finished in August, 2002. Justin Miller left the band in early September of 2002. Our good friend Mark Lorenz(DEAD MAN'S RUN) filled in on the electric bass until "Hamburglar" Nate Hancock quickly took over duties of tearing it up on the upright bass along with some lead vocals as well.
